Okay it would suffice to say that I am very behind on posts. My unspoken New Year resolution was to post 1 entry per week. I mean-seems reasonable. 4 entries a month. Time will tell. In the meantime I would like to have a few back track entries.
Just before Christmas I was watching iron chef (love iron chef) and Paula Deen made marshmallows as part of the sugar challenge! ooooo Love it! Homemade marshmallows-- I must try! I looked around for recipes and naturally I found one linked up to my all time favorite blog. I should have known the angry chicken has done this before--that girl is too cool for school. I'll say it again and again-check out her blog. AMAZING! The marshmallows were super easy--sticky yes but easy also. The family loved them and they were gone before I could even test them out in hot chocolate. I think this calls for a Valentine's Day batch.

What a treat!

I still feel green when it comes to posting items on etsy, twitter, facebook and the worst is my little teeny tiny spec of a blog. I have to say my day was just made when a fellow etsy artist featured some of my earrings in the "ByHand" spotlight. Thank you so much Wintergarden! xoxo!

Like mother...like daughter

I was finally taking some pictures off of my camera and I had a funny flashback to high school basketball. My fellow teammate K.S. told me-- "You dress like you are straight up homeless!" It had never really occurred to me but in fact was quite true. My sweats never matched and my family always has had a box of hats, scarves and gloves to pick from before you head out the door. It would be a rarity if you could find a matching set--so in fact I usually looked quite...well, homeless. I hadn't thought of that day since it happened until I got my daughter ready to play in her first dusting of snow. She looked straight up homeless. I laughed till tears were in my eyes. Thanks for the memory K.S.!

And as a side note for my own mother-- no worries snow boots were ordered right after I snapped this picture and came in time for the 20+ inches here in Virginia.
